Welcome to the LifeAid course on helicopter safety. We are fortunate to have a wide variety of skills held by various team members so some of you will be familiar with work on helicopters, while for others this will be relatively new.
LifeAid staff may be required to assist with responding to patients in remote and austere environments, particularly on fire grounds, and may be transported to the patient via helicopter. For this reason we feel it’s important to enhance everyone’s readiness to be deployed via chopper to various locations around Victoria and potentially elsewhere.
